Democrats Interfere with Electoral Board

Former FEC Commissioner Hans von Spakovsky was denied a post on the Fairfax County Electoral Board because the local Democrats tarnished his reputation and engaged in unprecedented interference in the board appointment process.

Von Spakovsky, an Ed Meese Award winner and national expert on voter identification, was targeted by the Democrats as having bias.  However, he had voted with the others on the board for almost every matter.

Fairfax GOP Chairman Jay McConville called such interference "outrageous, unprecedented, and beneath the dignity of a political organization in Fairfax County." He added, "The people of Fairfax County need to be aware that the Fairfax Democrats are playing games and manipulating the electoral system."

Unfortunately, Fairfax County elections have lost a experienced board member due to Democrats' hyperpartisan ploys.
