Halloween Special: Zombie Voters

In honor of Halloween, we are going to do something a bit different and highlight a candidate for Georgia’s Secretary of State's ad. 

Unfortunately the punchline of the “dead voting in California” is not a joke.  A number of reports from TV news groups in California have documented real “zombie” voting.  

Top 10 Republican Lawyer Posts for 2016

Here are the top 10 posts for 2016 from The Republican Lawyer blog.  These posts show how the left is trying to destroy the First Amendment and how out of control the Obama Administration was on matters of speech.  Furthermore, they prove once again how Donald Trump’s victory was also a victory for the Constitution.

NY BOE Sends Dead Voters Absentee Ballots; Keeps Dead Voters on Rolls

The New York Board of Elections has kept deceased voters on the voter registration rolls and keeps sending them absentee ballots:

Queens resident Michelle Dimino has a simple request for the city’s Board of Elections: Please remove my late dad from the voter rolls. . . . “In 2013, 2014, 2015 and again this year, I received absentee ballots for my father. I could have fraudulently voted with those ballots, but I shredded them instead,” an exasperated Dimino told The Post.

Fortunately, this deceased voter's family is honest.  But unfortunately, the Board of Elections has kept Ms. Dimino's father on the voter registration rolls despite his family's efforts to have him removed:

What’s upsetting, Dimino said, is that she called the elections board shortly after her father’s death to ask that he be purged from the rolls. 

She said election workers insisted she would have to show up in person at an agency office with a death certificate to confirm her dad was no longer alive. 

Dimino, 48, told the workers she’s been on dialysis and asked if she could mail in her father’s death certificate to put the issue to rest. 

She says she was told she couldn’t [contrary to Board policy]. 

And this problem is not isolated to Ms. Dimino's father:

Queens resident Stewart Marden told The Post that the city’s Board of Elections has been sending him absentee ballots for his son, Russell, for the past eight years — even though the 38-year-old died of multiple sclerosis in 2008. 

Marden said he told the BOE that his son was dead in 2008. But he kept getting ballots for him. . . . 

The son of Helen Petersen, Jonathan, a Brooklynite who died in 2010 while suffering from dementia, shared a similar tale. . . . 

State law requires that the Board of Elections get monthly updates from the city Health Department on residents who died, a New York election official said. . . . The BOE declined to discuss its procedures for purging dead voters.

When concerned citizens do more to keep the voter registration rolls accurate than the Board of Elections and when the Board of Elections puts obstacles in the way of voter registration roll accuracy, it creates the opportunity for fraud.  As the Lawyers Democracy Fund notes, this is a common problem "that occurs when state and local election officials fail to identify and remove deceased voters from the voter rolls.  Absentee or mail ballots are sent year after year, election after election and the deceased person may remain on the rolls for decades."

Day 1: Vote Fraud Already in Florida?

Intentionally or not, according to this post by Lawyers Democracy Fund, election officials in Miami-Dade County in Florida are “increasing the election's vulnerability” to vote fraud:

Sources tell LDF that the poll workers, on orders from the Supervisor’s office, are now erroneously informing early voters to keep the mail ballot instead of returning it to the possession of the Elections Office.  This procedure is in direction violation of Florida Election Code Section 101.69, and there is already canvass evidence that that some voters who early voted have also attempted to vote twice by mail balloting.

The attachment linked above also includes more troubling information.  Eight absentee ballots (called vote by mail in Florida) were rejected because the voter is deceased.  While much like winning Powerball, it is technically possible that the person received the vote by mail ballot, voted, mailed it, died, and the county received and processed the death record, it seems unlikely.  What seems more likely is eight dead people's ballots were “voted” by someone else.  It is great that the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections caught these but how many others were missed?  Especially in light of the increasing vulnerability in Florida by such actions as returning mail in ballots to those who vote in person.

Most importantly, who is trying to vote in the name of the dead?    

The Left Continues to Resist Efforts to Fight Voter Fraud

Today, Joanne Young published an op-ed on the homepage of National Review Online. Here's an excerpt:

Inaccurate voter rolls also exponentially increase the potential for fraud. Did you hear the one about the deceased World War II veterans who just registered to vote? How about the one where 40 days before the election, a thousand noncitizens were found on the voter rolls in Virginia? Or the dead dozen who cast their ballots in Colorado? 

With disasters like these, it’s no wonder that citizens are eager to monitor our monitors. Our request: Do your job. Under federal law, election officials must keep voter rolls up to date.

Democrats Fighting for Zombies, While Republicans Try to Protect the Living

There are problems with the dead registering in Virginia and voting in Colorado and California.  The most common way that the dead are fraudulently "voting" is via absentee ballot.  It is hard for zombies to actually get the polls.  The respective parties could not take a more radically different approach. 

Republicans like those in Virginia have proposed making absentee ballots less susceptible to fraud by measures such as 2015’s HB1318, which stated:

Applications for absentee ballots; photo identification required. Requires that any voter submitting his application for an absentee ballot by mail or by electronic or telephonic transmission to a facsimile device shall submit with his application a copy of one of the forms of identification acceptable under current law. The bill exempts from this requirement military and overseas voters and persons with a disability. Currently, only a voter who completes his application for an absentee ballot in person is required to show a form of identification.

This was vetoed by former DNC Chair and friend of the Clinton’s, Governor Terry McAuliffe. 

Democrats on other side continue in their efforts to bring chaos and discord to the election process regarding absentee ballots.  As the nonpartisan Lawyers Democracy Fund describes it:

The Tampa Bay Times reports that the Democratic Party has filed a lawsuit against Florida on equal protection grounds to remove a key integrity check of Florida’s mail voting process. The signature review requires a comparison of the mail ballot signature and the registration signature on file by the Florida Supervisor of Elections. If the signatures do not match, the ballot is rejected. The plaintiffs seek a last minute judicially created cure period for only some of these non-signature match voters because the truly absent voters or military overseas voters would not have an opportunity to update their signature. The lawsuit comes less than 35 days prior to the November 8 Presidential Election with millions of ballots already being mailed to voters. The current mail ballot rules have been in place for years, and mail ballots have already been sent to tens of thousands of overseas and military voters.  Absentee or mail balloting is already vulnerable to fraud and abuse without an ID requirement. Removing one of the key integrity measures increases the likelihood of potential fraud.  

So in a nutshell, the Democrats are supporting efforts to disenfranchise legal voters through vote fraud; Democrats are trying to take away even the few safeguards there are for absentee ballots.  Zombies or the dead are not a protected class under the Constitution and should not have their votes counted. 

ICYMI: Democrats Keeping the Zombie Vote Alive

Even partisan Democrats and professional vote fraud deniers such as Rich Hasen grudgingly admit to a potential vote fraud problem associated with vote-by-mail.  Hasen discusses it in the context of vote buying but it is a much bigger problem than that.   

Another example of the problem is “Zombie Voting,” or the dead voting, detailed in the video by CBS Denver attached to this article:

We found voter fraud in Colorado that essentially waters down your vote. . . . 

[Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams stated]:  "It is impossible to vote from the grave legally.” 

He says in most cases we found, after someone died, mail ballots kept coming to their home.  Someone else filled them out.

Is this a reason that Democrats advocate so strongly for vote-by-mail and against efforts to clean up voter lists?  Let’s compare where this has been reported recently. 

In California, where other instances of dead voting have been uncovered this year,  Democrat Secretaries of State have adamantly opposed any efforts to clean up the voter lists for years and the Democrat Party has refused to comment on dead people voting.  

In Colorado, to his credit, Secretary of State Williams is taking this seriously.  However, his job has been made much harder due to Colorado’s recent turn to voting entirely by mail, led by Democrats over the opposition of Colorado’s Republican Secretary of State.  

Turning out the vote should not involve the graveyard.  Thank you, Secretary Williams, and shame on you, Democrats in California.  

Vote Fraud and Poor Election Administration in California: Recent Examples

California has long had problems with vote fraud and poor election administration.  Why does California have so many issues?  Single-party rule in the state is one possible answer.  Here are some of the remarkable recent examples of problems. 

California has widespread problems with voter registration, leading to issues for the June 7 primary:

Questions about the security and integrity of California voter information have surfaced after Riverside County’s district attorney described several online tampering incidents in which residents’ party registration was changed without their knowledge. . . . Many voters who said their party affiliations weren’t correct ended up using provisional ballots, which take longer to count because the voter’s eligibility has to be verified, or not voting at all.

Another indication of the inaccuracy of California's voter registration rolls is that hundreds of dead people have been voting in many recent elections:

A comparison of records by David Goldstein, investigative reporter for CBS2/KCAL9, has revealed hundreds of so-called dead voters in Southern California, a vast majority of them in Los Angeles County. “He took a lot of time choosing his candidates,” said Annette Givans of her father, John Cenkner.  Cenkner died in Palmdale in 2003. Despite this, records show that he somehow voted from the grave in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010.

There was double voting during the June 7 primary:

The June primary election exposed an unacceptable potential for voter fraud in California that the state Legislature must immediately fix.  In just three counties, Contra Costa, Alameda and Santa Clara, 194 people voted twice, suggesting the abuse statewide might run into the thousands. 

There were widespread problems during the June 7 primary:

California voters faced a tough time at the polls Tuesday, with many voters saying they have encountered broken machines, polling sites that opened late and incomplete voter rolls, particularly in Los Angeles County. The result? Instead of a quick in-and-out vote, many California voters were handed the dreaded pink provisional ballot — which takes longer to fill out, longer for election officials to verify and which tends to leave voters wondering whether their votes will be counted.

Exacerbating the issues, California may have mishandled early and provisional ballots after the June 7 primary:

Internet sleuths of varying expertise have attempted to prove that the millions of ballots left uncounted on election night contained a Sanders victory over Hillary Clinton, but were prevented from being added to the count. The fact that 2.5 million early and provisional ballots were not yet counted when the networks called the primary has become another reason to doubt that the media can fairly cover the race. 

California has opened the door to more fraud through mandatory voter registration:  

California has found a way to drive up voter participation. Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat, signed the New Motor Voter Act last October that automatically registers individuals to vote when they obtain a driver’s license and — taking nondiscrimination up a notch — driver’s licenses are available to illegal immigrants. Technically, noncitizens aren’t eligible to vote, but the law decrees that one who does “shall be presumed to have acted with official authorization and is not guilty of fraudulently voting or attempting to vote, unless that person willfully votes or attempts to vote knowing that he or she is not entitled to vote.”

Because of its 53 House races and numerous important state legislative races, California's election administration will be very important in November.

You are Likely Looking at Ground Zero of a 2016 General Election Meltdown

California held its primary on June 7, 2016, or at least it tried. The LA Times highlighted the nearly statewide debacles that left many wondering exactly what happened and why. Recently we discussed some of the issues facing California voters whose election officials have horribly mismanaged HAVA funding almost since its inception.

California voters faced a tough time at the polls Tuesday, with many voters saying they have encountered broken machines, polling sites that opened late and incomplete voter rolls, particularly in Los Angeles County.

The result? Instead of a quick in-and-out vote, many California voters were handed the dreaded pink provisional ballot — which takes longer to fill out, longer for election officials to verify and which tends to leave voters wondering whether their votes will be counted.

This year’s presidential primary race has already been one of the most bitter in recent memory. Before Tuesday’s vote, Bernie Sanders supporters accused the media of depressing Democratic turnout by calling the nomination for Hillary Clinton before polls opened in California.

Those feelings haven’t gotten any less raw Tuesday as hundreds of Californians complained of voting problems to the national nonpartisan voter hotline run by the Lawyers’ Committee For Civil Rights Under Law.

The seeds of dysfunction and disarray were on full display during the primary. Issues were plentiful and it leads you wonder if the issues were not intentional, serving as a distraction from the all too real issue of fraudulent zombie voters. The issues spawn confusion and more and more provisional ballots making it far more difficult to sort through the ballots and prove fraud. But that most likely will not stop some of the voters from trying. Especially Sanders’ supporters who feel that the election was rigged to begin with…

Sanders supporter Jonathan Daniel Brown accused Democrats of “purging votes” when he discovered he was not on the voting rolls at his polling station despite being registered.

Brown, an actor, refused to take a provisional ballot, and his complaints drew the attention of Los Angeles County Registrar-County Clerk Dean Logan, who intervened. Eventually, Brown said he was allowed to cast a regular ballot — though not before Brown said a poll worker called the police on him.

Writer Allison Bloom, 41, took her kids with her when she went to vote at the Kahal Joseph Congregation synagogue in Westwood on Tuesday morning.

“I wanted to show them what voting means,” Bloom said. But when she arrived, she said workers couldn’t boot up the vote-counting machine. Bloom left behind her ballot, with a worker promising it would be counted.

Bloom said her kids asked, “Is this what it’s always like?”

“It was just chaos,” Bloom said. “It was kind of an unfortunate first experience at the polls for them.”

Sowing chaos, generating confusion, and general misdirection . . .  sound familiar? It should. Nothing to see here. Pay no attention to the woman in the pant suit behind the curtain. If this sounds an awful lot like the result that is likely to occur in Ohio in November, there is likely a reason.

The left has little desire to make elections smoother. That simply does not help their cause. Requiring identification, actual citizen registration, and purging voter rolls all ensure that the process is efficient and fair as possible and yet they continue to actively work against such measures. If this was the result in the primary, I can only begin the fathom the cataclysmic catastrophe that will occur in November.

Quite frankly, California’s inability to manage HAVA funding should have already sent  a clear message to the legislature. The state needs to take action to fix the process, and fix it really. The election should be fair, honest, and free of zombies and fraud generally. 

The Modern Day Election Mafia in Ohio

Ohio is no stranger to vote fraud. There have been several issues over the past few years that illustrate a substantial need for election reforms in the crucial swing state. But, despite steps taken by the Ohio legislature and Secretary of State John Husted to ensure a fair election, the left continues to sink millions of dollars into blocking and undoing as much of the common sense legislation as possible. It is not out of fear for citizens but rather fear of losing the White House.

Just last month, Rebecca Hammond was charged with filing thirty-five fictional voter registration applications. An election in Lorain was invalidated because voter fraud made the difference in the outcome. Aliens are voting in Ohio elections. In 2008, Obama campaign volunteers such as Amy Little and Yolanda Hippensteele committed criminal voter fraud when they illegally voted in Ohio even though they lived elsewhere. And who can forget Cincinnati election official Meloweese Richardson who boasted she voted six times for President Obama and was treated as a hero by Ohio Democrats when she was released from jail?

Criminal voter fraud in Ohio helps Democrats win elections, and Democrats know it. That’s why they are pouring millions into overturning election integrity laws in the federal courts. The laws enacted in Ohio were specifically designed to stop election gangsters like Little, Hippensteele and Richardson.

Without winning Ohio, the Left cannot retain power over the executive branch in November. That’s why Democrats are fighting so hard in court to strike these election reforms down. That’s why they’ve brought so many lawsuits, to undo the efforts of Secretary Husted and the Ohio legislature to stop the gangsters.

While both the legislature and the Secretary Husted have been working diligently to ensure a fair and honest election in 2016, the steps they have taken to rectify the problem have been met with lawsuit after lawsuit from those who seek to yet again, steal the election.

Here's how it works. Democrats and their pals in law schools and at legacy news outlets roll an endless loop tape that “voter fraud is a myth.” When Democrats are convicted of voter fraud in a key swing state, it goes right down the memory hole. When government officials pass laws to remedy the problem, Democrats and their deep pocketed allies go to federal court to overturn the laws, claiming they discriminate against minorities.

The institutional Left knows that controlling election process rules is the first step to controlling policy. Conservatives and Republicans usually pay more attention to the policy, and not to the process. Ohio was a rare exception, and some sought to clean up the process. But now federal courts are undoing the cleaning and bringing back the mess just in time for November. 

And, it will likely be a mess. How many more convictions are required to show vote fraud is real? Not only that it is real but it is far more prevalent than most believe. The liberals and Democrats in the state have a plan. It’s the same as last cycle. Maintain the status quo and work behind the scenes to manipulate the election results. In Ohio, we know the issues occur based on those who have been caught. Is there any way to know how many get away with it?

To really turn Ohio into a mess, a third case was filed in April by the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, the Soros-funded DEMOS and the ACLU seeking to stop Ohio Secretary of State Husted from cleaning the voter rolls. Many counties in Ohio had more registered voters than people alive thanks to the shoddy performance of the former Democrat Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner. In this new case, the plaintiffs make the preposterous claim that election officials cannot use inactivity when cleaning voting rolls – something federal law obligates them to do.

We recently pointed out the concerns presented by bloated voter rolls in a few blogs regarding the current zombie infestation at the polls in California [Part 1, Part 2]. If the dead returning from the grave to vote is not reason enough to keep state polls current, I doubt anything ever will be. We need integrity in our elections. We must continue to fight for common sense reforms that limit the potential for fraud. Voter ID laws certainly address in-person fraud; however, as Secretary Husted and the Ohio legislature have most certainly figured out given the severity of the issues in their state, many additional reforms are needed to adequately address the issue of election integrity.

The Dead Walk to the Voting Booths in California

Last week we shared a blog post surrounding the ongoing zombie voting apocalypse that was recently uncovered in California. Since that time, many tough questions have been asked.  Questions like: How did they not see this coming? How is this happening? Isn’t the government supposed to ensure election integrity? And most importantly, how can we stop it?

The fact of the matter is this is scary time we live in, but there are some simple answers to the panicked questions currently crawling out of California. First off, dead voters are not a rarity, and disappointingly enough, California is far from the first state to have the problem. Despite the shock and utter disbelief that followed the report, a quick Google™ search will yield all sorts of deceased voting activity. Activity that for one reason or another usually goes unaddressed. Vote fraud exists in many different forms in this country and sadly, this is not new information. Voter ID laws have started to address the in-person process but much work remains to be done in order to protect the integrity of our elections. That being stated onto the questions.

How did they not see this coming? / How is this happening?

A: It’s an excellent question and one that even the California Secretary of State and Auditor addressed publically.  The sheer level of dysfunction and mismanagement of funds in California dedicated to HAVA is just astounding. I highly recommend you take a moment and read the report. Page 39 references a previous audit which further illustrates the sheer magnitude and perpetual nature of the problem in the state. Now you may be asking what exactly does HAVA have to do with the zombie voting apocalypse? Well, HAVA, among many other things, provides the state with funds to ensure that their voter registration rolls are current and much like everything else in the world when money designated for a particular purpose is needlessly wasted or carelessly mismanaged, the system begins to break down. Pieces of the process start to fall through the cracks making fraud a far more likely and distinct possibility. In this case, dead voters are not being removed from rolls and somehow, these deceased individuals are continuing to vote.

Isn’t the government supposed to ensure election integrity? / How can we stop it?

A: Absolutely. California’s HAVA budget has been a catastrophe almost since the program’s inception. In a world where liberals and the left consistently raise voter disenfranchisement as one of their main concerns we have legitimate voters being disenfranchised by the dead with literally no consequences.  In all seriousness, this is a failure at the most basic level of election administration and we must demand accountability. If we continue to allow such a complete and utter disregard for the integrity of our elections, than a precedent will be set and much like the way a zombie infection spreads in the movies, so too will fraud continue to spread through our elections.

Vote fraud is alive and well. We have much work to do to ensure that our elections are and continue to be both honest and fair. 

The Voting Dead

No, this is not a spinoff of AMC’s popular T.V. show. This is reality, one that the left is far too quick to dismiss and consistently claims does not occur.  Voters in California have somehow been coming back from the dead in order to cast their ballots for years. The report was aired by a CBS station in LA (Channel 2).

A comparison of records by David Goldstein, investigative reporter for CBS2/KCAL9, has revealed hundreds of so-called dead voters in Southern California, a vast majority of them in Los Angeles County.

Cenkner died in Palmdale in 2003. Despite this, records show that he somehow voted from the grave in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010.

But he’s not the only one.

CBS2 compared millions of voting records from the California Secretary of State’s office with death records from the Social Security Administration and found hundreds of so-called dead voters.

In total, the report showed that 265 people voted from beyond the grave. This is vote fraud, plain and simple. The following day the station released an update to the story which detailed some of the early fallout from the discovery.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich introduced a motion at the Board of Supervisors meeting to start an investigation into the news station’s findings and put the Registrar on notice:

“The Registrar-Recorder has to do a better job to insure the integrity of the voter system is secure,” he told David Goldstein, investigative reporter for CBS2/KCAL9.

Supervisor Sheila Kuehl voted in favor but defended the Registrar who claims to be removing “1,200 to 2,000 deceased records from the database per month.”

“There’s really no way to connect a person whose death is recorded with a person who is registered to vote unless we get some kind of notification from the family,” Kuehl told Goldstein.

“But we did that though. We were able to do it,” Goldstein said. “We were able to confirm that there’s 215 dead voters in L.A. County.”

Where is the outrage? Where are the folks screaming about REAL, QUANTIFIABLE voter disenfranchisement? Well, the reporter thought to attempt to include those folks as well but, they were eerily silent on the matter.

CBS2 reached out to the California Democratic Party, but they declined to comment.

The Registrar has 30 days to report back to the Board of Supervisors looking into the findings.

Election integrity in this country has been under siege for some time. It needs to stop and those responsible need to be held accountable. Voter ID laws are the first step in the process of ensuring that we actually address the problem. Vote fraud deniers hide behind the mere possibility of an inconvenience for a few, while more and more evidence is uncovered showing that our system is susceptible to and is consistently subject to fraud. 

Just in Time for Halloween: Zombies Register to Vote in Ohio

Marc Elias, the same Clinton campaign attorney behind the recent claim in Virginia that the simple act of showing an ID at the polls (not obtaining one) constitutes an undue burden on the right to vote, brought a federal challenge to voting laws in Ohio earlier this year.

Mr. Elias is working with the Ohio Organizing Collaborative on the suit which is still in its pretrial phase. The Ohio Organizing Collaborative is an interesting choice for a partner in challenging alleged voting rights infractions, given the suspicious nature of the group's organizing efforts. Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted recently advised local election officials to carefully scrutinize new voter registrations submitted by the group due to a high number of irregularities in prior submissions.

Local boards of election have reported receiving registration applications from the group for deceased persons in addition to applications with multiple names, address or identification mismatches, and registration update forms the appear to have been signed by someone other than the registered voter. Dave Johnson, vice-chairman of the Columbiana County Board of Elections, said of the group: "[t]hey have turned in roughly 530 voter registrations of which five of them were dead people. They actually had the dead people's drivers license numbers and Social Security numbers, and of course they forged the signatures of these dead people."

Commenting on the irregularities, Secretary Husted said: "[b]ecoming a registered voter in Ohio is not a complicated process - you have to be a resident, provide accurate and up-to-date information, and obviously still be alive. Anytime we receive reports that invalid and fraudulent voter registrations are being submitted we take it seriously and will work to ensure those individuals or groups responsible are being held accountable."

It seems Mr. Elias' passion for defending the integrity of our country's electoral process ends when misconduct offers candidates and causes he supports a potential boost.

In NYC, Liberals Want to Let Illegal Aliens Vote and Prosecute the Police for Trying to Stop Them

New York City is affectionately known to all as the Big Apple, but the new administration of Mayor Bill de Blasio is demonstrating that the Big Apple may be rotten to its core.  

The latest outrage from the ultraliberal de Blasio administration and his comrades on the city council would open the door for massive voter fraud in New York City elections.  Under a plan being pushed by de Blasio and the council, noncitizens, including illegal immigrants, would be given city-issued identification cards. 

De Blasio and his allies claim that this is nothing more than an effort to bring illegal immigrants "out of the shadows," but GOP State Senator Greg Ball, the chairman of the Senate's Veterans, Homeland Security, and Military Affairs Committee, uncovered something more sinister in this proposal.  According to Ball, this would open the door to noncitizens, including illegal aliens, to vote illegally in New York State Elections.  New York voters must provide their driver's license number of Social Security numbers when registering to vote.  If they don't, they must provide some other proof of identity when voting for the first time.  De Blasio's ID cards would give noncitizens the proof they need to cast ballots.

And while we're on the subject of the bizarre state of affairs in Gotham, let's not forget the aftermath of the NYC Department of Investigations' (NYCDOI) report on the New York City Board of Elections(NYCBOE).  If you don't remember, the NYCDOI (at the request of the Bloomberg Administration) produced a report on the management of the NYCBOE as well as the conduct of elections in New York City.  The report found, among other things, that it was relatively easy for people posing as dead voters and former city residents to vote.

You'd expect that the commissioners and staff of the NYCBOE would be embarrassed and apologetic after such a scathing report, right? 

Wrong. 

Instead of apologizing for their conduct and working on a plan to correct it, the commissioners of the NYCBOE accused DOI investigators of breaking New York State Election Law and requested that prosecutors bring charges against the investigators that uncovered the opportunities for fraud in NYC elections.

Sadly, there may be no hope for the Big Apple.  We can only hope that other officials around America see what's happening there and work to make sure this kind of insanity doesn't come to their hometown.

Vote Fraud is Not a Crime, But Police Uncovering It is

When a Milwaukee Police Task Force on the 2004 Election released the most comprehensive and non-partisan study of vote fraud, the left attacked . . .  the studies release!  They also attacked the police for recommending an end to same day registration as the best way to stop vote fraud or failing that, real photo ID.  The left again did not attack the substance of the police recommendations or factual findings but instead said it was wrong for the police to make policy recommendations or release a report.

And it is happening again. 

Election officials in New York have taken attacking police for exposing vote fraud to a whole new level.  As background remember, undercover police had no problem voting for dead, moved or felons in a recent undercover sting in the latest of a litany of vote fraud problems in New York. 

In response the New York City Board of Elections(BOE):

In fact, the Board thinks investigators who were allowed to cast ballots even though they posed as deceased people and felons should themselves be investigated.

The BOE voted to ask the city’s district attorneys to examine whether the Department of Investigation violated laws in its exhaustive inquiry.

 “We (are) unaware of any color of authority on the part of (DOI) to vote in the identity of any person other than themselves — and our reading of the election law is that such an act constitutes a felony.”

“We believe there is cause to be concerned that the integrity of the ballot has been compromised,” [New Board of Elections Chair] Soumas said.

Yep, to the New York City Board of Elections, vote fraud is not a crime but exposing it is.  

Police Prove How Easy it is to Impersonate Voters in Hometown of Vote Fraud Deniers

The Brennan Center for Justice has made its mission to deny and ignore vote fraud as part of its efforts to support the Democratic Party.  One of its leaders, Myrna Perez, has even been nominated to be a Democrat commissioner at the Election Assistance Commission. Part of this effort is the attempt to define vote fraud as merely impersonation, saying that such fraud is virtually impossible and rare.  Well in the Brennan Center’s own neighborhood of New York City, a neutral police agency found out just how easy voter impersonation is to do:

Investigators posing as dead voters were allowed to cast ballots for this year’s primary and general elections, thanks to antiquated Board of Election registration records and lax oversight by poll workers, authorities said.

Undercover DOI agents were able to access voting booths in 61 instances — including 39 dead people, 14 jail birds and eight non-residents. Only twice were the agents blocked.

How bad was it?  Or better put how easy is it to vote fraudulently?

For example, a 24-year female was able to access the ballot at a Manhattan poll site in November under the name of a deceased female who was born in 1923 and died in April 25, 2012 — and would have been 89 on Election Day.

Also at a Manhattan poll site, a 33-year-male investigator was able to vote under the name of a deceased man who would have been 94 on Election Day.

Just ask people like Chris Matthews about how this works in Philadelphia, the people of neighboring Mount Vernon, New York, or how about just a few months ago in New York City. 

What appears to be an orchestrated pattern of voter fraud is being reported at a pivotal precinct in South Williamsburg. According to a Board of Elections poll worker and another poll watcher, groups of young Hasidic men attempted to enter the polling station at IS 71 and vote under the names of other citizens who have yet to vote. "They're signing signatures, but the ID they show doesn't match the signature on the forms. Yes, there's been some illegal stuff going on," BOE poll worker Antoinette Reaves said.

. . .  The source, who declined to be named for fear of retribution, told us the fraud operation is run out of an ultra-Orthodox wedding hall at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Flushing Avenue in Williamsburg. Volunteers are allegedly given free food and then "driven to four or five places" to vote under false names. "They have copies of the voter rolls, I don't know how they get them, but they get the names and the signatures," the source alleged.

Voters were driven to four or five places and in only one of the places were they caught.  No one faced charges despite police witnessing the crimes.  The happenings in New York City are unique only in that they are happening literally under the noses of the leading vote fraud deniers.
